We are excited to be in production on our next film, TRUMBO, which we are making alongside Safe House Pictures.  The film, to be directed by Peter Askin, is based on the successful off-Broadway play of the same name.  TRUMBO chronicles the life of Blacklisted and Academy Award Winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, who wrote SPARTACUS, ROMAN HOLIDAY and THE BRAVE ONE, among many others.  An all-star ensemble will appear in the film, including Joan Allen, Paul Giamatti, Danny Glover, Nathan Lane, Liam Neeson, David Strathairn, Donald Sutherland, Michael Douglas, Brian Dennehy and Josh Lucas.  There will also be interviews with Kirk Douglas, Walter Bernstein, Victor Navasky, Chris and Mitzi Trumbo, and more.  Kurt Engfehr, who edited Michael Moore’s Academy Award winning documentary Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11, has come aboard to edit TRUMBO.  

In other news, we are in the process of securing domestic and international distribution deals for RUNAWAY.  The film premiered at last years’ Toronto and Tribeca Film Festivals, and went on to win “Best Narrative Feature” at the Austin Film Festival.  RUNAWAY is directed by Tim McCann (REVOLUTION #9, DESOLATION ANGELS), and stars Aaron Stanford (X-MEN II & III, TADPOLE) and Robin Tunney (Fox TV’s PRISON BREAK, THE CRAFT).  Check out our films page for more information, or read our review in “Variety”, which hailed it as a “psycho thriller that will keep audiences off balance ‘til the bitter end.”
